WHAT WE OFFER
Care built around the specific and the complex
Six area of focus, drawn from more than 30 years treating adult and geriatric patients - from routine medication management to complex cognitive and forensic evaluation.
Comprehensive psychiatric care across the full adult lifespan. Dr. Tierney holds a lifetime certification in General Adult Psychiatry and was among the first psychiatrists certified in Geriatric Psychiatry when the subspecialty was created in 1996 — recertifying every 10 years since.
Full consultations and ongoing care by telemedicine, giving many patients flexible, remotely accessible treatment. Because some medications require in-person evaluation, telemedicine isn't available to every patient — we will let you know during scheduling whether your treatment is a fit for a virtual visit.
Neuropsychiatry
Assessment and treatment of the cognitive, behavioral, and mood symptoms that arise from neurological conditions — the overlap between neurology and psychiatry.
In addition to his psychopharmacology expertise, Dr. Tierney holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Psychology and completed five years of supervised psychotherapy training during residency and fellowship — more clinical supervision than most Master's-level and even PhD psychotherapists receive.
